Upgrading localbase on 13.0-CURRENT using ports-mgmt/synth
I upgraded base from 12.0-ALPHA9 to 13.0-CURRENT (r339639) on a VM today. While preparing for rebuilding localbase, I wiped clean /var/synth/live_packages/{All,Latest}/*, and cleaned the ccache repo stored in /var/cache/ccache. I came across Dan Langille post on security/ssl-admin and figured I should try it before my old certificates expires later in 2016. ssl-admin exists mainly for managing OpenVPN certificates, and with some tweaking you can make it work for ordinary SSL/TLS services.

The strange combination of FreeBSD/i386, stable/10, OpenSSL from ports, optimized assembly code, Dell PowerEdge 1950, Intel Xeon X5450@3.00GHz, and BIOS 2.5.0, resulted in core dumps for all applications linked with OpenSSL from ports.
