Replacing the main battery in Eaton 9PX3000iRT2U

The user manual for Eaton 9PX3000iRT2U is missing one piece of information. Luckily, I found the missing piece in the user manual for the latest generation of 9PX UPSs.

After having replaced the battery you must reset the counter for battery life. I can only wonder why the manual omits this crucial information. Assuming the LCD screen on the UPS shows the screen saver, press Enter × 2, select Control, select Functions reset, select Reset battery life, select Yes, the display will now show Done, and press Esc × 3. That’s it.

It seems our 9PX3000iRT2U wants new main batteries every five years. In the meantime and betweentime, we most likely have replaced the EBMs.
